Scandinavia for Michelin excellence!

Nov 30,2014

The Michelin Guide for the Main Cities of Europe 2014 has been released with a multitude of stars for Scandinavian Gourmet restaurants.

In Stockholm Operakällaren reclaimed its star lost in 2010 and in Copenhagen the newly opened Restaurant Marchal at Hotel D’Angleterre was awarded one star and Chef & Sommelier and Ask are the two new one-stars in Helsinki. They join other new one-stars like Ylajali and Fauna in Oslo and Stockholm’s Oaxen Krog Stockholm and Bhoga in Gothenburg.

The big news is that the Michelin organisation will, for the first time, print a guide for the Nordic Countries, including Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark. Speaking about the launch of the Nordic Countries Michelin Guide, Michael Ellis, International Director of the Michelin Guides, said: “Nordic gourmet dining features a wide variety of local produce and a cooking style that combines the best qualities and outstanding expertise of Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian and Danish cuisine.”

Culinary experiences are an important part of an incentive – let Scandinavia surprise your palates!
